Les Clark is best known as a Cartoonist was born on November 17, 1907 in California. Animator and cartoonist, most recognized as the first of Disney’s Nine Old Men. He was an incredibly fast worker and created Disney’s Steamboat Willie in a matter of hours. This American celebrity has died on Sep 12, 1979 (aged 71).
He earned fame and popularity for being a Cartoonist. He met Walt Disney when he was still a student at Venice High School in LA. After graduating, he worked up the nerve to ask him for a job and, based on his amateur sketches, was given an opportunity. He was also able to direct animated features, including his first, Paul Bunyan, in 1958.
